• Be prepared

Be prepared

Crises cannot be planned for, but you can prepare for them.

Where to start

  • Download the Záchranka app.

  • Enable location services on your phone.

  • Save important contacts.

  • Refresh your first aid knowledge.

  • Keep your phone charged.

  • Stay alert, be aware of your surroundings, and pay attention to the environment around you.

What to do next

  • Pay attention to escape routes. Do you know the quickest way out of the building where you live, work, or attend classes?

  • Think about the places where you spend most of your time.

    • Who would you turn to for help?

    • Where is the nearest first aid kit?

    • Where is the nearest fire extinguisher, and do you know how to use it?

  • Keep learning. Consider signing up for one of the training courses offered by the Charles University Rectorate Security and Occupational Safety Department, or for a first aid, self-defence, or conflict de-escalation course available through the Charles University Educational Portal.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
