Mass notification system

The mass notification system is a supporting tool used to warn, inform, and call students and university staff in life-threatening and other highly serious situations. Charles University currently uses the Crisis Information and Alerting System (KISS).

KISS sends notifications via SMS, email, voice messages, or any combination of these channels.

It uses predefined scenarios which, once the system is activated, automatically distribute pre-set messages to different groups of people depending on the situation (e.g. students at a faculty where a crisis is occurring, fire patrols in the event of a reported fire, or faculty and/or university crisis management teams, etc.).

What contacts does KISS use to provide information?

SMS: +420 720 013 175

E-mail: kiss@kiss.o2.cz

Telephone calls (e.g. to members of the crisis management team or the fire brigade):

+420 272 002 014
